All 9th grade students are required to take a Physical Education (PE) course and participate in the Physical Fitness Test (PFT). Testing occurs in the spring. Tests administered typically include a one-mile run, body mass index, curl-ups, trunk lift, push-ups, and shoulder stretch. If you have questions, please contact your facilitator.

The California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP) is our current testing system to measure student achievement based on the Common Core State Standards (CCSS).  This is a computer-based test that assesses student's abilities in math and English.  At SCA, our curriculum incorporates the CCSS but is not determined by the CCSS.
