Shasta Charter Academy Advisory School Board

As an independent charter school, SCA has its own School Board, which has been authorized by Shasta Union High School District.  Public meetings are held throughout the school year and the public is invited to attend the meetings and learn more about how the school operates.

Dustin Warren was raised in northern California and is an alumnus of SCA when from the early years of the school when it was known as Shasta Secondary Home School.  As such, promoting the vision of the school after having seen the wonderful benefits of attending SCA is something about which he is passionate.  He is currently serving in his second term as a member of the Board. 
 
Dustin works for the Shasta County Sherriff's Department.  He enjoys being outdoors whenever possible with his wife, Allie and their 2 children.

Cheryl is the mother of five. She has homeschooled her youngest three for past 15 years. James graduated from SCA in 2010 and Mark in 2012. Both are now attending UC Davis. Nichole is a sophomore at SCA and is concurrently enrolled at Shasta College. She has a passion for learning outside of the box with personalized learning. She credits SCA for for her children's academic success.
 
Cheryl works at the Shasta College Trinity Campus as the evening secretary. Her husband, Jim, is the Battalion Chief for the USFS station at Big Bar.  She enjoys her task as a wife and mother along with gardening and hiking. She loves any opportunity to spend time at the beach.
 
She believes that Shasta Charter Academy is a positive guide for our young people to run this country in the future.

Leslie MacRae is member of the Board and has been connected to the school for many years.  Leslie worked as a special education aide and tutored student at SCA for many years until she retired at the end of the 2014-2015 school year.   When she retired, she promptly volunteered to serve on the SCA Board in the role as a community member.
 
Leslie enjoys spending time traveling, paddleboarding, and being outdoors with her husband, Rob.  She also enjoys any opportunity she has to spend time with their 2 grown sons.
